Who is eligible?
Where the applicant alleges to be child of a citizen of Botswana or related to a citizen of Botswana, but has no legal identity documents to collaborate this assertion and a doubt therefore exist.
How do I get this service?
- Completed Form 4
- Upon submission, the applicant with an acknowledgement letter
- After processing, the applicant will be notified of the outcome
- If successful, the applicant will be issued with Certificate of Incase of Doubt
What supporting documents are required?
- Completed Form 4
- Two passport size coloured photos.
- Certified copy of unbridged birth certificate
- Proof of parentsβ citizenship status (certified copies of Passport, Omang and Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)
- Certified copy of previous Botswana Passport or Omang (for country of origin and Botswana)
- Affidavits and certified of copies of Omang of minimum three witnesses (kgosi, parent, relative/guardian and the applicant
- Application letter
- Certified Copies of all school leaving examination certificate
- Citizenship Registration Certificate (if applicable)
Applicantβs marriage certificate (if applicable)
