The Vice President, Ndaba Gaolathe, this morning toured the facilities of Dichaba Group Operations to gain a first-hand understanding of the work being undertaken by Batswana and to explore potential avenues for collaboration between the government and the private sector.
During the visit, the Vice President expressed his appreciation for the company’s initiatives, commending the team’s enthusiasm, clear vision, positive outlook, and deep expertise in their field, as well as their strong commitment to community development. He also offered the company access to free consultancy services, encouraging them to engage with government resources without hesitation. He emphasised that the government is keen to support Batswana in their endeavours to help them reach the highest possible levels of success.
Dichaba Group Operations specialises in the manufacture of a broad range of electronic products, including its Ditec brand of laptops, mobile phones, and refrigerators. The company also has ambitions to eventually produce electric vehicles under the Caleb Motors brand.
The Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Thatayaone Dichaba, noted that the company’s products are already gaining traction in the region, with exports reaching markets in Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
