Overview

The current laws of Botswana, including all Acts of Parliament and Subsidiary Legislation, can be accessed on the Botswana e-Laws website. Legislation can be searched using multiple criteria and downloaded in PDF format. Hard copies of current legislation can be purchased from the government bookstore.​

Published judgments from the courts of Botswana, or Law Reports (up to 2012) can also be searched and downloaded in PDF format on the Botswana E-Laws website www.elaws.gov.bw . The recent Law Reports which include judgments of the High Court, Industrial Court and Court of Appeal can be accessed on the Administration of Justice (AOJ) website www.justice.gov.bw.

  • To retrieve a listing of current legislation, conduct searches and download PDF copies of legislation, visit the Botswana e-Laws website (www.elaws.gov.bw) and click on the Laws of Botswana tab.
  • To retrieve Law Reports, conduct searches and download PDF copies of judgements up to 2012, visit the Botswana e-Laws website (www.elaws.gov.bw) and click on the Botswana Law Reports tab.
  • Hard copies of legislative documents can be purchased from the Botswana Government Printing & Publishing Bookstore.
  • To retrieve a listing of new legislation, conduct a search and download PDF copies of the listings, visit the Botswana e-Laws website (www.elaws.gov.bw) and click on the New Legislation tab.
