Opening the Budget Breakfast Seminar hosted by BIDPA, Minister for State President, Defence and Security, Hon. Moeti Mohwasa, said the national budget is more than numbers, it reflects Botswana’s values and future ambitions.
He noted that the current fiscal framework responds to economic pressures with discipline while safeguarding key investments in infrastructure, public asset maintenance, human capital and economic diversification.
The Minister reaffirmed Government’s commitment to restoring fiscal stability, strengthening public financial management and creating an enabling environment for private sector–led growth.
As the new development agenda takes effect, Botswana is positioning itself for a resilient, diversified and digitally enabled economy that expands opportunity and secures long-term prosperity for all.
