Overview
It controls the import, export and transportation of controlled substances that deplete the Ozone layer in fulfilment of Botswana’s obligation in the implementation of the Montreal Protocol.
Who is eligible?
Citizen and non-citizens registered to trade in the substances controlled under the Montreal Protocol
How do I get this service?
- Download, complete and submit the import/export/transit of Ozone Depleting Substances Permit Application Form to the Ozone Office at the Department of Meteorological Services
- For renewal applications, submit the previous year’s import Data (January to December) or Declaration Forms of goods at entry ports
What supporting documents are required?
- Citizens- Certified copy of valid National Identity Card (Omang)
- Non-citizens- Certified copy of valid Passport
- Valid trade license
- Valid tax Clearance Certificate
- Certificate of Incorporation
- VAT Registration Letter and Declaration Form
