Maintenance division is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the maintenance of the entire national road network, which includes in-house maintenance and outsourced maintenance projects.
Maintenance Division consists of four sections namely:- Traffic, and Three Maintenance Regions. All these sections are headed by Principal Roads Engineer-II Maintenance.
The Country is divided into three maintenance regions:
- North - 3847.1km Total Network
- South - 3642.0km Total Network
- West - 1728km Total Network
These regions are subdivided into 11 depots, which are located as follows:
- Region North - Francistown, Nata, Palapye, Kasane and Mahalapye.
- Region South - Gaborone, Kang, Tsabong and Kanye.
- Region West - Maun and Ghanzi
Regional Head Offices are based in Francistown, Gaborone and Maun for Region North, South and West respectively.
