Commercial Affairs Department is responsible for promoting local economic development in a district in accordance with statutes governing trade.
HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE
Trade Licenses
New Applications
The applicants must submit the following with the application form for a trading license-
a) Title deed or Agreement of grant of Lease for Business plots for proof of availability of business premises since Kanye is a new development area
b) Memorandum of Lease of agreement signed by both parties
c) Satisfactory Physical planner’s report for zoning confirmation to check the compatibility of the activity in the premises
d) Satisfactory Environmental health report for the premises booked at King George at Environmental Health office
e) Certified copies for identity cards for citizens and certified copies of work and residence permits for non citizens
f) Certificate of incorporation, Form 2 which shows who the Directors are and their addresses, Share certificates, business name
Renewal Applications
The applicants must submit the following for their license renewals:
a) A renewal form and
b) Satisfactory Health report
Liquor Licenses
New Applications
The applicants must submit the following with the application form for a liquor license:
a) Title deed or Agreement of grant of Lease for Business plots for proof of availability of business premises
b) Memorandum of Lease of agreement
c) Satisfactory Physical planner’s report for zoning purposes to check the compatibility of the activity in the premises
d) Satisfactory Environmental health report for the premises
e) Proof of publication in gazette, Daily news or any private newspaper
f) Certified copies for identity cards for citizens and certified copies of work and residence permits for non citizens
g) Certificate of incorporation, Form 2 which shows who the Directors are and their addresses, Share certificates, business name
Renewal Applications
The applicants must submit the following for their license renewals:
a) A renewal form and
b) Satisfactory Health report
Manufacturing/ Industrial Licenses
New Applications
The applicants must submit the following with the application form for a manufacturing license-
a) Title deed or Agreement of grant of Lease for Business plots for proof of availability of business premises
b) Memorandum of Lease of agreement
c) Satisfactory Physical planner’s report for zoning purposes to check the compatibility of the activity in the premises
d) Satisfactory Environmental health report for the premises
e) Certified copies for identity cards for citizens and certified copies of work and residence permits for non citizens
f) Certificate of incorporation, Form 2 or Form 13 which shows who the Directors are and their addresses, Form 4/Form 14 , Form 8 which shows allotment of shares, Share certificates, business name
Renewal Applications
The applicants must submit the following for their license renewals:
a) A renewal form and
b) Satisfactory Health report
Registration Certificates
Registration certificates are issued to applicants who are exempted from obtaining manufacturing /industrial licenses.
COSTS INVOLVED IN OBTAINING THE SERVICE
- Trade and Liquor applications are submitted with a non refundable application fee of P100.00
Manufacturing/Industrial applications are submitted with a non refundable administration fee of P50.00.
