The programme is guided by the Short Term Plan of Action on Care of Orphans in Botswana, Ministry of Local Government, 1999-2001, for provision of basic needs and psychosocial support for orphan children. Services rendered include; Educational and psychosocial support, Monthly food basket and provision of other basic needs.

 Who qualifies?

Any Motswana Child below age of 18, who lost a single parent or both legally married parents.

Requirements

• Death Certificate of the parent(s)
• Child birth Certificate
• National Identity for the Caregiver/guardian

 How do I register an orphan?

Bring along the above referred documents to the nearest Social and Community Development Office for registration.
