The Botswana Government Portal enables you to enjoy the option of receiving all important content directly to your personal computer. RSS updates bring you the latest headings on the site according to your personal preference, without searching for new content. In addition, you can filter the headings according to date, subject or key word.

How does it work?
The RSS Reader collects the RSS files, analyzes new content that has been added to the Site and feeds the new headings and the relevant link to your computer.

First Stage: Downloading RSS Reader
The RSS Reader program must be downloaded, in order to read the information channels that you have defined and forward them from the Sites that you have selected to your computer. RSS Readers can be downloaded free of charge.

Second Stage: Defining the content channels
Content that interest you must be defined by copying the RSS channel address and pasting it in the program.

Third Stage: Viewing the information
The application will check once every few minutes whether there have been any content updates on the channels that you have selected.  You can view the news headlines at any time and select whether to surf to the abstract or to the full story.
