Types of Beneficiaries
For purposes of offering sponsorship, applicants are divided into pre-service and in-service teachers.

Pre-Service Candidates
The Ministry of Education sponsorship is primarily geared towards assisting pre-employment / pre-service candidates. These are school leavers holding BGCSE School Leaving or equivalent.

In-Service Teachers
The department administers on behalf of Teaching Service Management (TSM) a programme to upgrade teacher qualifications.

Applicants should note that due to budgetary and other constraints, only a limited number of applicants can be sponsored at any given time.
