The Member of Parliament for Kweneng East, Honourable Maj. Gen. Pheto has left  for Abuja, Nigeria, to attend the 64th Executive Committee Meeting of the Commonwealth African Region (CPA).   The meeting will be held from the 9th-14th March 2013.
Hon. Pheto is the Branch Representative for Botswana to the CPA and he is also a Member of the Programme Planning and Finance Committee.

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association is the Parliamentary wing of the Commonwealth. Its mission is to promote the advancement of parliamentary democracy by:

• Enhancing knowledge and understanding of democratic governance;
• Building an informed parliamentary community able to deepen the Commonwealth’s democratic commitment; and
• Furthering cooperation among its Parliaments and Legislatures.

The Honourable Member is expected back on the 15th March 2013.
