Vice President meets India’s Commerce Minister

Gaborone, September 19: The visiting Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Jyotiraditya Scindia paid a courtesy call on Vice President Lt. Gen. Mompati Merafhe this morning.
Minister Scindia, who is on a two-day visit to Botswana, held a highly successful meeting with Vice President Merafhe. The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest between Botswana and India.
He also held meetings with Hon. Mokgweetsi Masisi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Hon. Vincent Seretse, Acting Minister of Trade and Industry.
Hon. Scindia also addressed a business conference on “Botswana-India Trade and Investment Opportunities”, which was jointly organised by BEDIA and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
He is scheduled to leave Gaborone this evening (September 19, 2011).
