NOTICE OF REVIEW OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT PASSENGER FARES
The Ministry of Transport and Communication through the Department of Road Transport and Safety wishes to inform members of the Public and the Public Transport Operators that in accordance with Section 17 (3) of the Road Transport (Permits) Act, the transport fares listed below are to effect starting from the 01 August 2011.

The increase in fares is intended to ensure the financial viability and sustainability of the Public Transport Industry in the country.
Public Transport Operators are asked to collect newly calculated fares for their respective routes at Stations of the Department of Road Transport and Safety.
Long distance passengers are advised to demand receipts from bus conductors to ensure that the authorized fares have been charged.
