The 2009 Government’ s decision on the rationalization strategy will result in the merger of several Parastatal organizations which include  BotswanaPost / Botswana Savings Bank, RIPCO/BOTEC and BEDIA/IFSC among others. This will address issues of duplication of services/mandates as well  also as save costs. To kick start the  process, officials  from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, BSB,PEEPA and BotswanaPost are addressing staff regarding the exercise. The new organization is expected to be registered and operational by March 2012.
