Gaborone West police are investigating a case in which about four unknown people tried to rob Bimbos, a fast food restaurant at Block Six in Gaborone recently.

The culprits armed with various weapons allegedly attacked the employees who were on duty at the time and managed to take a till box containing some cash.

However, the robbery was foiled when one of the robbers suspected to be the one who was carrying the till box dropped it after he was spattered with boiling cooking oil by one of the employees.

The police would like to appeal to members of the public, including some health/medical institutions to report to the police if they know or come across anybody with serious burns but cannot give a convincing account of how he suffered the injuries.
