His Excellency the President of Botswana Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama has appointed Mr Thebeyame Tsimako Commissioner of Police on contract terms for a period of 12 months. This is in terms of Section 112 of the Constitution of the Republic of Botswana.

This follows the President’s approval of Mr Tsimako’s appointment with effect of from June 5, 2010, after serving as a police for a continuous period of more than 40 years. The appointment is with effect from June 5, 2010, the date of his retirement.
