The police in Mogoditshane are investigating eight incidents in which people were swindled large sums of money by a man who claimed to be a motor vehicle dealer. It is alleged that the said motor vehicle dealer obtained about P247 000 from people on the pretext that he will sell them motor vehicles.  

The Botswana Police Service is appealing to the public to be careful when purchasing vehicles from some motor dealers. The police would like to advise members of the public to make payments after they have received what they want. They should also avoid businesses that are done in suspicious places
