Botswana Police Service (BPS) will with effect from 1st April, 2010 replace the current uniform with a new one. The change of the Police Service uniform comes after years of extensive consultations within the organization and with other stakeholders.

The uniform replaces the airforce blue bu-shirt and trousers, smoke grey shirt and air force blue trousers with the macro checked blue shirt, navy blue jacket, still blue cap and trousers. Female officers will continue to wear the navy blue checked braided hats and male officers navy blue caps will also be checked braided. Other uniforms and accessories such as shoes, socks, tie, badges of rank, logo, jersey and lain yard will pass to the new kit unchanged.
