M&E Training
Training capacity in M&E techniques in Botswana has been limited over the years. NACA and the entire HIV and AIDS fraternity have immensely depended on donor sources for monitoring and evaluation skills and professional development activities. Therefore a partnership had been entered between NACA and Institute for Development Management (IDM) to establish an M&E course that trains stakeholders in the national response.
The overall goal of the training is to build and enhance skills for conducting and carrying out monitoring and evaluation of the national response to HIV and AIDS
However, specific objectives include the following:
1. To guarantee a standard level of knowledge among participants of the basic concepts of current M&E practices at both the national and global levels
2. To equip the participants with first-hand skills of designing M&E work plans, identification and calculation of indicators for specific technical area within the broader context of building country-level M&E capacity to improve reporting and dissemination skills according to the needs of various target audiences
