Mandate
The Department of Civil and National Registration is responsible for registration of Births and deaths, marriages, societies as well as issuance of certificates for these registrations. The department also registers all citizens above the ages of 16 years and issue national identity cards (Omang). It also facilitates change of names by individuals.
