Corruption has a bearing on the commissions that His Excellency the President keeps appointing. For example, the Christie Commission unearthed a number of corrupt practices and was in fact the last commission to sit before the DCEC was established.
After the commissions submit their report to His Excellency the President, the DCEC studies the report, and should any issues allerging corruption come up, the DCEC opens investigations on such.
