Unions meet with DPSM, confirms strike suspension

On 12th of June 2011, the five (5) recognised Unions affiliated to BOFEPUSU met with the Directorate of Public Service Management to confirm their decision to suspend the strike effective Monday 13th June 2011.

The Employer appreciates the steps taken by the Unions and welcomes every employee to work. Employees are informed however, that they will be required to complete attendance registers when they report to and knock off duty until the situation is back to normal. This is meant to monitor attendance trends during the transition period. Supervisors are advised to welcome all returning employees and to give them the necessary support to settle into their jobs.

The Employer further reminds all dismissed employees in the essential services, who are willing to apply for re-employment but have not yet submitted their applications to the Directorate of Public Service Management to do so, as soon as it is practically possible.
