Inherited from the Office of the President in 2002, the department is located in the Broadhurst Industrial site. It is responsible for providing printing services to all government Ministries and departments. The department also serves as the Government publisher and distributor.
The sale of Government publications is done through the Department’s bookshops located in Gaborone Mall, Francistown, Maun and Serowe. Major government publications, such as the Government Gazette and the Laws of Botswana can be found in these outlets.
