Police in Gaborone and surrounding areas have arrested 10 people and recovered stolen property and thousands of cash during various operations carried out last week.
In one incident, Mogoditshane police arrested three suspects linked to a case of breaking into a motor vehicle in which one Malawian was found in possession of 29 electrical goods which include laptops, computer accessories, digital cameras and printers.
The Police also arrested two men suspected to be in the business of robbing people of their cell phones and clothes. Some cell phones and clothes were recovered during the arrest and have since been returned to their owners who successfully identified them.
Some people were also arrested for various other offences such as trading without a trader’s license as well as immigration related crimes.
In Mochudi, Members of the Botswana Police Women Network have also registered 19 traffic cases in an operation carried out in the village. The women officers collected P3600 as admission of guilt fines as road traffic charges during the operation.
