Zambia/ Botswana Relations Hailed

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Thebeyame Tsimako has hailed the cordial relationship between the Botswana and Zambian law enforcement agencies.

Mr Tsimako was speaking at a dinner he hosted for a delegation of law enforcement officers from Zambia in Gaborone recently. The delegation is in the country for the ongoing 17th Session of the Botswana/ Zambia Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security.

In his address Commissioner Tsimako said that the two nations continue to enjoy cordial relations in the promotion of peace and security.

He said that this has been made possible by constant collaborations between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

For his part, the Zambian Police Service, Deputy Inspector General, Mr Peter Chingaipe expressed hope that the ongoing session will further strengthen their relationship and ensure more peace and security in the region.

Mr Peter further thanked the Botswana Police Service for the warm reception that has been extended to them since their arrival in the country.
