Participants urged to interact more
07/09/12

Participants at the just ended Law Enforcement Executive Development Academic Program have been urged to continue with the partnership that they created among themselves to combat traditional crime, corruption and terrorism.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony held at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) today (07/09/2012), the Deputy Director of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centre, Delma Kenneth Keene urged the participants to capitalize on the new techniques they acquired during their stay at ILEA. Mr Keene said that they (participants) were provided with appropriate training to ensure relevant and timely reaction to enforcement situations that may arise, as well as to develop professional, effective law enforcement personnel. Mr Keene said the training that they received from over 33 different law enforcement subjects will help them to communicate and work more effectively with others.

He also encouraged participants to share the knowledge that they got from ILEA with others at their respective countries.

41 participants, who attended the six weeks course, were from five different African countries (nine from Botswana and 32 from Lesotho, South Africa Swaziland and Ghana).
