Complete an application form (Form No.1) at the nearest Police Station:
Ø If you have no firearm (domestic) you may apply for three permits. i.e 1 shotgun; 2 rifles of different calibers
Ø If you have a shotgun, you may complete two (2) forms for rifles of different calibers
Ø If you have a shotgun and a rifle, you may complete a form for a different rifle caliber.
Ø If you have two (2) rifles then you may complete a form for a shotgun.
Ø Attend an interview with the Licensing Officer (Station Commander):
Ø Applicant to be 18 years of age or above;
Ø No previous convictions
Ø Attach a copy of Identity Card (Omang) or Passport on each application form
Ø Raffle winners should submit Finger Prints on Form BP 52 for vetting
Transfer - (Inheritance or Purchase)
Ø Complete an application form (Form No.1) at the nearest Police Station;
Ø Attend an interview with the Licensing Officer (Station Commander);
Ø Applicant to be 18 years of age or above;
Ø Attach a copy of Identity Card (Omang) or Passport;
Ø Submit Finger Prints on Form BP 52 for vetting for those without a firearm.
Ø Firearm (s) to be brought to the Station Commander for verification of the type, caliber and serial number.
Surrender of Firearm
Ø Complete an application form (Form No.1) at the nearest Police Station;
Ø Firearm (s) to be brought to the Station Commander for verification of the type, caliber and serial number.
Ø Acquisition Permit is then issued to only those without previous convictions.
