Ø  Complete an application form (Form No.6) at the nearest Police Station;

Ø  Submit copy of Registration Certificate for verification of the type, caliber and serial number.

Ø  Applicant is required to be 18 years of age or above.

Ø  Attach copy of Passport to the application.

Ø  Where Ammunition is involved, state its number.

Ø  Acquire a Temporary Permit (Filled Form No.8 - valid 30 calendar days) from date of entry from the Station Commander.

Can I apply for the service online

Currently there is no provision for online service

Cost involved in obtaining the service

Ø  The service is currently P100-00.

Ø  The Act is under review to have the nominal fee increased
