The following are some obvious things to watch in your neighbourhood:
- A stranger entering your neighbour’s house when it is unoccupied.
- A scream heard anywhere within the neighbourhood might mean robbery, rape, assault or car hijacking.
- Offers of merchandise at ridiculously low prices may mean stolen goods.
- Anyone removing accessories such as the registration number of a vehicle should be considered a criminal.
- Anyone peering into parked vehicles may be looking for a vehicle to steal or valuables in the vehicles.
- A person entering and leaving a place of business after hours.
- A sound of breaking glass or loud explosive noises could mean burglary or vandalism.
- Persons loitering in the neighbourhood who do not live there and; Anyone forcing entry to, or tempering with a residence, business or vehicles should be treated as a thief.
- Person loitering around schools, parks, highway and secluded areas could be sex offenders.
