Police in Kazungula have arrested two Zambian nationals after they were found in possession of over P380 000 which they failed to give account of its source. The men had earlier been held for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle. Investigations to find the origin and source of the money and motor vehicle are continuing.

In another incident, the police have arrested a 31-year old man at Makalamabedi Gate after he was found in possession of eight smartphones, foreign currencies of different denominations and over P8-000 cash, which he failed to account for. The suspect, who originates from Zimbabwe, was arrested at a police roadblock. Police investigations are continuing.

Meanwhile, in an on-going police operation, eight suspects were arrested in and around Gaborone for possession of suspected stolen goods, which comprised of computers, cell phones and laptops.

The police would like to encourage the public to make secret identity marks and keep serial numbers of their property for identification purposes in case they are stolen and then recovered by the police.
