Port Health

Preparations are under way to provide port health services at the following points of entry; Pioneer Gate, Tlokweng Border Gate, Sir Seretse Khama Airport and Maun Airport. Provision of service at these points of entry is expected to commence on the 1st August 2010. More port health services will be established in three more points of entry in the near future.

How to obtain service

As you enter the country at the point of entry submit health certificates obtained from countries of origins for screening

How to apply for service

Port Health Certificates are documents used at points of entry to screen travelers and goods for health reasons..

a) Travelers and traders notify Botswana port health officers 2 weeks prior to entry through Fax or internet.

b) Collect and process the forms from the country of origin and submit them to Port Health Officers at the point of entry.
