1. Identifies and translates SRH related Public Health Policies into an effective comprehensive up to date National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme.
2. Assesses and determines the national cervical cancer prevention needs, plans and implements different up to date strategies to prevent it in all population with special emphasis on the HIV positive clients
3. Prepares budget estimates for the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme training and submits to Chief Health Officer – SRH.
4. Develops plans to facilitate implementation of the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme training.
5. Coordinates National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme training activities to ensure the provision of quality, timely, comprehensive up to date cervical cancer prevention services in accordance with global and local SRH objectives.
6. Facilitates cooperation between the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme and the public.
7. Works closely with sexual and reproductive health officers nationally to ensure up to date cervical cancer prevention evidence based information is available to implementing health care workers throughout the country.
8. Conducts support visits to identify factors that may affect the quality and accessibility of cervical cancer prevention services to all groups including the high risk of HIV positive clients and addresses them.
9. Build national capacity to provide quality up to date cervical cancer prevention services.
10. Liaises with District Health Team Management Teams to facilitate strengthening of an effective National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme and monitoring system.
11. Monitors the National Cervical Cancer Prevention training plan progress to ensure that the set objectives are met.
12. Collaborates with development partners on all Cervical Cancer Prevention activities in their planning, financing, implementation and evaluation.
13. Submits cervical cancer training progress reports to the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme Manager and the Chief Health Officer.
14. Undertakes any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the management.
