To direct and monitor the receipt, storage, management and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other health commodities to all government health facilities

1. Manages the delivery of pharmaceuticals to facilities on schedule2. Ensures all customer queries are attended to efficiently3. Monitors regular stock taking and verification to ensure availability at all times4. Conducts regular inspections to ensure compliance to pharmaceutical requirements5. Manages the cold chain requirements6. Oversees the receipt of inbound stock and ensures the system is regularly updated to reflect all receipts7. Monitors inventory accuracy measurements so that they fall in line with industry standards8. Facilitates the proper storage of pharmaceuticals in accordance to CMS guidelines9. Provides leadership for effective transport arrangement for smooth delivery of stock10. Manages transport issues to ensure that trucks are available, well maintained and deliveries sent to facilities on schedule11. Develops systems to ensure effective distribution and dispatch process12. Directs the efficient operation of hubs13. Monitors customer demand data by collecting and analyzing daily, so that information is used for best availability of drugs14. Monitors the customer order process to ensure that customer orders are correctly filled and dispatched15. Monitors warehouse equipment functionality
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management or a similar related field complemented by 10 years relevant post qualification experience working at senior management level in a government or parastatal organization
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in the field of management of which 2 years should have been at the level of Assistant Director for Public Service Officers.
