General description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified citizens for the above vacancy in the Department of Corporate Services, Ministry of Health. 

LEAVE:            30 working days per annum.

To manage and coordinate Ministerial/Departmental human resources management and development functions

 
Job description:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1.  Coordinates and monitors the implementation of Human Resource Management and Development policies, strategies, rules and regulations.

2.  Interprets terms and conditions of service to staff and advice the Director on matters of Human Resource Management and Development.

3.  Manages and supervises Human Resource Management functions such as: Recruitment and Selection, Staff training and Development, Industrial Relations, terms and conditions of service, staff discipline.

4.  Liaises with all Departments on all matters pertaining to personnel administration to ensure that action is not delayed.

5.  Provides guidance and supervision to all staff on areas such as career planning development, deployment and advancement.

6.  Undertakes any other duties as assigned by Management.

Job requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have at least a degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field.  A Master’s degree in the same field would be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

8 years post qualification experience in the Human Resource Management field of which 2 years should have been at Chief Administration Officer I (D3) for Public Service Officers.
