NAMPAADD
NAMPAADD is a master plan intended to streamline arable Agriculture and Dairy development programmes to address existing government Policy objectives, namely food security, poverty alleviation and economic empowerment of rural people. What is NAMPAADD?Project components:

-          The main responsibility of the Extension Services/Coordination is to improve the extension outreach(programme) by rolling out of NAMPAADD to priority areas as well as to provide technical support  and train farmers and staff on the fields of Rainfed Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Beekeeping and Small stock (NAMPAADD Course Calendar 2012/2013) (hyperlink)

 

-          One of the thrusts of NAMPAADD is to facilitate the establishment of Farmers Service Centres (FSCs) to spearhead the commercialisation of the sub-sectors.  These will be operated commercially and will provide the necessary services and inputs (seeds, fertilisers, feeds and draught power) for the different sectors covered by this programme.  Machinery and implements will be hired out to participating farmers.  One of such Service centre is already operational in Goodhope and services offered are machinery and implements hire. How do I apply for the service?

  • Rregister to show expression of interest at the Agricultural Service Centre if you live in and around Good Hope. For those you live elsewhere contact your nearest District Agricultural Office. 
  • Fill in the Contract Agreement Form and make payment (see price list). 
  • Submit a certified copy of Omang or a residence and work permits if you are an expatriate. 
  • Refer to guidelines 3.0 for more information on apllication requirements.
