DIRECTOR: STRATEGY AND FEASIBILITY X 1 POST (3 YEAR CONTRACT)

 

Key focus areas:                              Identify research studies, programmes and projects that will cumulatively drive the enablement and successful commercialization of agriculture.

 

Position level:                                   E1- (P288, 120.00 – P299, 760.00) per annum.

 

Qualifications:                                   Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics.

 

Knowledge and Skills:                    -     Policy Development

-          Financial modeling and analysis

-          Sound understanding of commercial farming

-          In –depth understanding of national and agricultural policies

-          Investment requirements

 

Leave:                                                   30 working days per annum.

 

Contract Benefits:                            25% of the total gross emoluments earned during the contract of employment.

                                               

Experience:                                         A minimum of sixteen (16) years post qualification experience of which two (2) years must have been at senior management level (E2) . Public    sector experience, Agricultural experience and strong track record in people management and communication skills are essential.

 

Job outputs:

·         Identification of practical, feasible and bankable (as defined by GICO) programmes and projects that will drive commercialization and enhance diversification, exports and job creation.

·         On-going enhancement of key enablers for commercialization, aligned with the strategy of the Hub.
