DEPUTY DIRECTOR: PROGRAMME COORDINATION X 1 POST (3 YEAR CONTRACT)
Key focus areas: Coordinate the implementation of programmes and projects that comply with the agreed selection criteria.
Ensure that approved programmes and projects deliver on the projected value add through proactive problem identification and recommended remedial actions, according to guidelines and specifications provided by GICO
Position level: E2 - (P252, 744.00 –P262, 956.00) per annum.
Qualifications: - Degree in Agriculture
- Recognized qualification in project management
Knowledge and Skills: - Strong Influential Skills
- People Management and Communication Skills
- Conflict Resolution
- Financially Literate
Experience: A minimum of fourteen (14) years post qualification experience of which two (2) years must have been at senior management level (D1)
Exceptional programme and project management experience (preferably in an agricultural/commercial environment).
Experience in monitoring and evaluation
Project management experience
Agricultural experience is preferable
Leave: 30 working days per annum.
Contract Benefits: 25% of the total gross emoluments earned during the contract of employment.
Job outputs
· Programme and project coordination, ensuring effective delivery
· Extract where appropriate, synergies between projects and programmes with respect to resources and outputs
· Coordination with GICO and other hubs to ensure that programmes and projects are appropriately linked to other national projects
· Identify gaps and opportunities for other projects to drive further gains in commercialization, diversification or export growth
· Project hand-over to MOA
· On – going M&E of all Agric Hub projects and programmes to achieve required outcomes
· Reporting according to guidelines provided by GICO
