Soil Survey and Mapping provides soil mapping, land evaluation and advisory services to various stakeholders on soil management and land use. Soil Conservationdeals with a set of management strategies for prevention of soil being eroded from the earth’s surface or becoming chemically altered by overuse, acidification, salinization or other chemical soil contamination.
How Do I Obtain The Service
Contact the Extension Officer in your area, or the nearest Department of Crop Production Office where the Soil Conservation or Soil Surveyor experts are placed
How Do I Apply For The Service?
No application forms involved.
Cost Involved In Obtaining Service
No direct costs involved. Instead for soil conservation the farmer may be requested to provide labor and or materials such as stones for gabion construction
