PROVISION OF TRAINING FOR POULTRY AND RABBIT PRODUCTION
The poultry section provides technical advice to the farming community on all aspects of poultry and rabbit production. It advises and encourages small-scale poultry producers to establish slaughtering facilities in accordance with the Livestock and Meat Industries Act of 2007. Out of school youths are advised on packages available for them. The section also monitors production level and control imports of poultry and rabbit products.

How do I get the service?
Poultry Officers are available in various Animal Production Offices across the country. The Headquarters Office in Gaborone is also available to assist farmers.
How do I get the service?
There is no application required to start a poultry enterprise, you just visit the office in your locality for technical advice.
How much does it cost?
Technical advice is free of charge. We also provide free training.
