The ISBN is a unique identification number of a book whilst the ISSN is for serials. These meaningful numbers are issued to publishers and individual authors so that their intellectual works could be easily identified for consumption in the international market.
How To Get The Service
When applying for ISBN authors are requested to bring a copy of the title page and the brief abstract/summary of the book. A copy of the title page showing the frequency of the serial and the editorial page must be submitted when applying for the ISSN.
