Description of Service:
The Department of Art and Culture administers a grant for arts and culture projects. The grant is intended to empower and encourage arts and cultural organisations to participate in the development,preservation,presentation and promotion of bOtswana Culture.
The following include some of the projects that the grant is provided for; purchasing of traditional attire, choir uniform, marimba instruments, holding of workshops to markerting,entrepreneurship, fundraising, teaching of creative writing and others; holding of festivals,exhibitions,talent shows,arts and culture competitions;undertakingof music recordings and many more.
Grant Fund Regulations:
Funds will only be allocated to arts and culture projects that fall within the following funding policies:
- Organisations must show that they have the capacity and skills to carry out the project;
- That the project will benefit and involve local people in its running, and/or show evedence of sustainability beyond the grant.

How to apply for the Service:
Call for submissions is done through print media. Applicatiopn forms can then be collected, filled in and submitted at all DAC/Youth offices throughout the country.
Requirements for application:
- Breakdown of all income and expenditure.
- Include the following certified copies;Omang,Registration certificate and Constitution/Equivalent,Bank Account details.
- Enclose bakground of organisation/detailed proposal if available.
- Attach reference letters, picture or any information that can act as reference.
- Attach CV/profile of organisation.
- Enclose a report of your most recent bank account statements.
- Five quotations from differnt suppliers or shops where applicable.
- Detailed budget breakdown.
Cost of Service:
No charges are levied on the applicants applying for the Fund.
