Roadworthiness Testing is required for all vehicles that are imported into Botswana and vehicles required for Public Transport and freight vehicle.
- Bring registration book
- Complete application for vehicle roadworthiness examination (DRTS 12)
- Pay the required fee

- Take your vehicle to vehicle testing station. in Lobatse, Gaborone, Palapye, and Francistown
NB: in accordance with section 16 part iii of RTA customers are adviced not to use their vehicles on the road unless it is properly licenced. For unlicenced vehicles you may request for a temporary road licence (by use of NTC 26 form) from Road Transport office for purposes of vehicle roadworthiness testing.
