PRESS RELEASE

                          

All the six (6) passengers on board Delta Air Services, Cessna 206 survived with minor injuries, an accident this morning 10th October, 2011 at 0845 local time.

 

The aircraft, flown by a South African pilot which crashed upon take off, was ferrying five (5) tourists from Delta Airstrip in the Okavango.

 

The five (5) passengers comprised four (4) French and one (1) Namibian.  

 

A relief aircraft was dispatched to the Delta Airstrip to transport passengers to Maun.

 

Investigation into the cause of the accident has already begun and is being conducted by a team of experts from the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
