How do I apply for the service?

You do not have to apply. The Department for Co-operative is mandated to provide business advisory services to Co-operative Societies. The Regional/District Officer can be notified over the phone or they (Regional/District Officer) may identify the services that are needed for a particular Co-operative Society and offer the service.

Financial Support

The Department does not offer financial assistance however, there is training offered at government cost. Co-operative Societies access financial support from financial institutions as they are body corporate. One Department that offers support to co-operatives is the Women’s Affairs Department which offers grants to businesses that have women as majority shareholders
