Gabane was the last village to recover from the shutdown when it briefly received supply on 08/11/15. . . . . The pump station that supplies Mogoditshane, Gabane, Metsimotlhabe, Mmopane and Gaborone West was flooded this morning following a power cut. Work is ongoing to de-water the plant, assess the damage and take the necessary corrective measures. The said areas’ water supply will be affected. STATUS UPDATE: Gaborone City has water. Gaborone West will experience low pressure to no supply following the flooding of the pump station that supplies it. Mogoditshane. Gabane: Kumakwane: Mmopane. Metsimotlhabe. Flooding of the pump station will affect water supply to these areas. For most supply stopped this morning. Tlokweng The village recovered on 07/11/15 and still has water. Mochudi: The village has water in most areas. Morwa, Pilane and Bokaa water in sme areas. Water is bowsed to hospitals, clinics and the prison. Lobatse: low lying areas have recovered. Ramotswa: The village has water.
Advisory: Always ensure that all water taken out of the WUC network and stored in containers for use during supply interruptions is handled in a hygienic manner
