LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (LPG) SUPPLY SITUATION
The Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources informs the general public that the country is currently experiencing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply disruptions due to the shutdown of some refineries in the Republic of South Africa. The shutdowns are part of their annual maintenance plans. Unfortunately some of the refineries took longer than the original planned time hence affecting the supply of gas in the region. However, the Ministry wishes to advise the general public that LPG dealers continue to receive minimum supplies from the Republic of South Africa as well as importing from the region and international markets.
The Ministry continues to work closely with the local gas industry to monitor the situation and public will be informed of the developments.
