GREATER GABORONE AREA WATER SUPPLY SITUATION 29 FEBRUARY 2016
STATUS UPDATE: Water supply in the Greater Gaborone is stable. However areas of covering Gaborone-West, Block 9 and Block 5 shall continue recording low pressures to no water during periods staring 2200hrs to 0400hrs on daily. Incidents of low pressure have been reported in areas of Mogoditshane, Gabane, Gakuto, Tloaneng and Kumakwane. Lobatse: Lobatse Township, Ramotswa and the surrounding areas are experiencing low pressure to no water in high laying areas. Mochudi: Water supply is generally stable. For the Greater Gaborone areas bowsing is ongoing in Kumakwane, Gakuto and Bokaa to augment supply.
Advisory: - The Greater Gaborone area’s water supply has improved significantly. The resumption of treatment of the Bokaa Dam water has also improved supply. Despite this improvement in supply, all water users are still urged to conserve water at all times so that the available supply from the Bokaa Dam can last a little longer. Save water, save life.
