DIVISION OF MATRIMONIAL PROPERTY 

1.       SERVICE DESCRIPTION

This service is provided by customary courts upon appointment by the High Court to carry out the division of matrimonial property between previously married parties whose divorce has been granted or the dissolution of their marriage has been finalized (decree nisi). All that the customary court does is to execute the order of the High Court.

2.      HOW DO I OBTAIN SERVICE?

The concerned parties must present themselves with an order from the High Court instructing a particular customary court to divide the property among the parties.

3.       HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE? 

• Produce an order of the High Court
• Valid Omang
• List of Property 

4.      COST INVOLVED IN OBTAIN THE SERVICE? 

There are no costs to be incurred in order to access this service
