How do I access missed payments
- A beneficiary who is unable to collect his/her allowance during payments is entitled to arrears which they have to apply for through the pension officer.
- Arrears can only be claimed within a continuous period of twenty three months from date of application. Arrears beyond twenty three months is forfeited
However, World War Veterans still qualify to receive the allowance when serving a prison term. This is because the Old Age Pension is directed to the pensioner and not extended to the family/relatives as is the case with World War Veterans allowance.
