The service is given when a couple wishes to wed in a customary manner. This service differs from one tribal territory to another as their customs and traditions differ according to their origins. In some areas the groom has to present lobola at the kgotla and at the time of recognition of the parties as husband and wife while in some areas there is no such hard and fast rule. In some areas you have to go through the Tswana process before you conduct the common law marriage.
